Here at the Grosmont Bookshop, situated about 6 miles from Whitby in North Yorkshire, we specialise in books on railways, buses, local maps, guides and history, local fiction, local arts and crafts, and UK walking guides.

We also stock a good selection of books on art, motor racing, road transport, fiction, history, biographies, military, childrens and teens, and many more.

We intend to have an online shop on this website sometime in the future, and in the meantime we have pdf files listing some of the books we have available on the 'second hand PDF list' tab above, mind these lists do contain both new and second hand titles.

If you are in the area and wish to visit us we intend to be open - children, dogs, staff and weather permitting - from at least 10 a.m. (hopefully a little earlier) until 5.30 p.m. each day that trains are running on the North Yorkshire Moors Railway, which is daily until October 31st 2010.
