Firstly an apology, to anyone who might have tried to contact us during September and October 2009 using the 'Contact Us' tab on this website.  Unfortunately the email has probably not been received by us.  So, if you did attempt to contact us and have not received a reply and still require a response please either use the 'Contact Us' tab above or phone us on 01947-895170 at the times displayed below.  Again, our apologies for this temporary lack of service.

We intend to have an online shop on this website sometime in the future, and in the meantime we have pdf files listing some of the books we have available on the 'second hand PDF list' tab above.

If you are in the area and wish to visit us we intend to be open - children, dogs, staff and weather permitting - from at least 10 a.m. (hopefully a little earlier) until 5.30 p.m. each day that trains are running on the North Yorkshire Moors Railway.

Given all that, a Happy and Prosperous New Year to all our existing and prospective customers and friends.  While there are no trains running on the NYMR between January 3rd and February 13th we cannot predict when we will be open as we will be doing such as a stock-take and some decorating and that sort of stuff, so if you really fancy a look round the shop please contact us and we will endeavour to be open when it suits you - what better service could one ask for?
